[02] FinMin Yannis Stournaras in BrusselsANA/MPA---Finance Minister Yannis Stournaras on Wednesday will participate on a trilateral discussion between the European Council, the European Commission and the European Parliament regarding the Single Resolution Mechanism (SRM), in Brussels.Stournaras, who is attending in his capacity as president of the Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN), will be attending along with Intergovernmental Conference (IGC) president Jeroen Dijsselbloem, Dutch Foreign minister. The SRM is the banking union's main pillar safeguarding the financial stability, the enhancement of trust and the increase of liquidity of the European economy, topping the Greek EU Presidency's priorities agenda. Stournaras had participated in the previous discussion regarding SRM that took place after the ECOFIN of March 3, which gave the Greek Presidency a new order to conduct more flexible negotiations with the European Parliament and finalize a deal introducing a common banks' recapitalization fund and mechanism, before the end of the parliamentary period in April.
