[01] Opinion poll: ND leads; drop in Golden Dawn's percentages
New Democracy (ND) leads by 1.2 percent over main opposition SYRIZA,
while extreme-right Golden Dawn's percentages posted a substantial 2.3
percent decline according to an opinion poll conducted by MRB for Sunday
newspaper RealNews.
In the opinion poll, conducted after the stabbing death of Pavlos Fyssas
by a Golden Dawn (Chryssi Avghi) member but before the arrests the party's
deputies and members, New Democracy (ND) is leading with 22.2 percent;
SYRIZA is following with 21 percent; Golden Dawn got 6.8 percent;; PASOK
5.5 percent, Independent Greeks (ANEL) 5.3 percent; Communist Party
(KKE) 5 percent and Democratic Left (DIMAR) 3.3 percent.
