POST-DOCTORAL POSITION AVAILABLE

The Laboratory of Molecular Modeling of Materials (LMMM) of the National Research Center for Physical Sciences �Demokritos� in Aghia Paraskevi, Athens, Greece announces a vacancy for a post-doctoral position in the area of Monte Carlo Molecular Simulation of Materials. The position is part of the project �Development of Novel Molecular Simulation Methods for Advanced Materials with Complex Molecular Architecture� funded by the Greek Secretariat of Research and Technology, Program for Scientific and Technological Cooperation between RTD Organizations in Greece and RTD Organizations in Third Countries. The project is in collaboration with the Department of Chemical Engineering, Princeton University, Princeton, New Jersey, USA.

Appropriate candidates should have a recent doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Physical Chemistry or related discipline and proven research experience in the development and application of molecular simulation methods (Molecular Dynamics, Metropolis Monte Carlo simulation etc.) for the calculation of structural, thermodynamic and other properties of non-ideal fluids (i.e. hydrocarbons, polymers, aqueous systems). The duration of the position is 24 months. Starting date is estimated to be September 1st 2003.
