Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Associate Position Vacancy

The Institute of Biology, National Centre for Scientific Research "Demokritos" invites qualified applicants to apply for a postdoctoral fellow/research associate position which is available immediately. The appointment will be for a two year term with possibility of extension.

The selected applicant will join the Laboratory of "Insect Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology" (headed by Prof. Kostas Iatrou). Descriptions of the ongoing activities of the specific research group can be obtained by browsing through the Institute's web site (URL: http://bio.demokritos.gr/).

The qualifications for applicants include a Ph.D. degree in Biology or Biochemistry as well as research experience in the area of molecular biology, molecular genetics and/or biotechnology that is documented by a relevant record of publications in refereed journals.

Applicants should submit with their applications their detailed CV, one copy each of their two best publications, a short description (up to 2 pages long) of their research interests and experience to date, and names and full contact details for at least two referees who will be asked to provide relevant recommendations.
