The project aims to evaluate the performance of Remote Optical Sensing Techniques for Atmospheric Air Quality Measurements and is about to start. Main tasks of the Fellow will be numerical simulation of atmospheric dispersion, and support of field measurement campaigns in various European countries, using state-of-the-art instrumentation, in collaboration with international research organisations and instrument manufacturers. This postdoctoral position is particularly suitable for a young engineer or scientist with a good grasp of computational (or experimental) flow mechanics wishing to specialise in this advanced area of environmental technology. Given the considerable industrial involvement in the project, long-term career prospects are excellent. Minimum requirements are competence with FORTRAN in Unix and PC environments, and fluent English. Previous experience with international collaborations, as well as organisation skills, will be taken specifically into consideration. Preference is to be given to Greek or EU applicants.
