Ph.D. student position in Molecular Physiology in BerlinJob Opportunities Directory - Previous Article - Next ArticleFrom: "HR-Net News Distribution Manager" <[email protected]>Originally From: Udo Zacharzowsky <[email protected]> *Place: Laboratory for Molecular Muscle Physiology (LMMP) Max Delbr�ck Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC) in Berlin, Germany *Thema : *Signal Transduction pathways in Muscle cells The candidate will employ a combination of biochemical, molecular- cell biological and biophysical techniques to elucidate novel calcium dependent signal transduction pathways in muscle cells and study their physiological function in a variety of systems e.g. cell culture, trangenic animal models etc. REF: Nature-Cell Biology, Vol 2, June 2000, 371-375 *Group: The MDC is a National Research Center and the MMP Lab is an international leader in the fields of Muscle Biology with particular strengths in the areas of cellular biophysics, trangenic animals and gene therapy. *The Candidate : recent university graduates of : Biology, Chemistry, Medicine or Pharmacy are wellcomed to apply. Required are i) very good academic record ii) strong research experience in modern bio-medical research i.e. diploma/master thesis in one of the following areas: biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology- genetics, cell - developmental biology, physiology, pharmacology. iii) very good knowledge of the English language. The position is for 3 years, with the possibility to obtain the PhD degree, from either the Natural Sciences Faculty for science graduates or from the Medical Faculty for Medical graduates from the prestigious Humboldt-University of Berlin. Knowledge of German is not required, will be made up during the first year. The position carries full health insurance and social security benefits.
