Auditing and financial management positions at European CourtJob Opportunities Directory - Previous Article - Next ArticleFrom: "HR-Net News Distribution Manager" <[email protected]>Originally From: Christos KOMNINOS <[email protected]>, Head of personnel service European Court of Auditors Luxembourg THE EUROPEAN COURT OF AUDITORS in collaboration with the European Commission and the European Parliament is organising open competition No EUR/A/154 in order to recruit Auditing and financial management specialists (M/F) (career bracket A 7-6) Main duties in the field of auditing: - checks on the completeness and accuracy of accounts, - checks on the legality and regularity of budgetary and financial operations, - monitoring of the application of the principles of sound financial management, with particular reference to economy and cost/effectiveness. Main duties in the field of financial management: - implementation of accounting and financial systems, - evaluation of existing systems, - analysis of accounting and budgetary procedures with a view to improving efficiency and effectiveness, - management of accounting and financial departments, - drafting of various financial statements for internal and external use, - cash management, - analysis of financial results. Place of employment: Luxembourg, Brussels or any other place of activity of the organising institution. Eligibility: Each candidate must: - be a national of one of the Member States of the European Union, - be born after 17.12.1953, - have obtained, subsequent to the university degree or diploma giving eligibility to the competition, at least three years' professional experience in the fields of auditing and/or financial management, - have a thorough knowledge of one official language of the European Union and a satisfactory knowledge of a second official language of the European Union.
