POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS

FORTH invites applications for appointment to a research fellow position in the field of environmental physics. Candidates must have demonstrated ability to conduct independent quality research in the following fields:

GROUNDWATER RESOURCES
Emphasis on sustainable groundwater resource protection and assessment of desertification processes due to over-exploitation and climatic change. Experience in modelling and monitoring of the hydrological / meteorological processes is required.

ATMOSPHERIC PHOTOCHEMISTRY
Emphasis on the interaction between the radiation field and ozone depletion. Experience in modelling of the associated physico-chemical processes is required.

Both fellowships are annually renewable for up to three years, in the first instance. Fluency in Greek is required. Closing date for the submission of applications is April 10, 1996. Applicants should send a resume, a selection of relevant reprints and a list of three referees to Prof. I. M. Vardavas at the above address.
