Boston, December 7: Panel Discussion on Greek Higher EducationPublic Events Directory - Previous Article - Next ArticleFrom: "HR-Net News Distribution Manager" <[email protected]>It is our pleasure to invite you to a panel discussion entitled *"/Proposed Reforms in the Greek Higher Education System: What are the Objectives?/"* regarding the recent proposed reforms in the Higher Education System in Greece. The panel will consist of the following distinguished professors who are active in the reforms process. *Amedeo Odoni*, Professor of Aero & Astronautics and Civil Engineering, MIT, Member of the Committee on Institutions of Higher Education (AEI) of the National Educational Council (ESYP) and of the Hellenic Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (ADIP) *Vassilis Zannis*, Professor of Biochemistry, Departments of Medicine and Biochemistry, Boston University School of Medicine, Member of the Hellenic Assurance Agency for Higher Education (ADIP) *Philip Tsichlis*, M. D., School of Medicine, University of Athens, Postdoctoral Training, Tufts University School of Medicine, Jane F. Desforges Professor of Hematology/Oncology, Member of the board of 22 Greek Professors from abroad who met on November 21st-22nd, 2006 in Athens regarding the reforms process. The event will feature short presentations by the panelists followed by extensive discussion about the prospects and the challenges of the Higher Education in Greece. It will take place on *December 7th* at *5 pm*. in room *37-212* at MIT (for directions: http://whereis.mit.edu/map-jpg?mapterms=37-212&mapsearch=go ). The discussion will be held in Greek. The discussion will include the following parts: 1. Identification of the problems 2. Proposed remedies 3. Description of the goals of the evaluation/accreditation processes 4.
