Nana Mouskouri at The Kennedy Center

November 30, 2003 at 7:00 PM

Greek singer Nana Mouskouri is the best selling female artist in history with over 320,000,000 units sold worldwide. She has appeared many times at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, including three sold out performances with the National Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Mouskouri sings in six languages and her international touring takes her to five continents each year.

UNICEF elected Ms. Mouskouri as the organization's worldwide ambassador, replacing Audrey Hepburn. In this capacity, Ms. Mouskouri has visited UNICEF sites in Asia, Africa and the Americas. Nana has also served as a member of the European Parliament representative of her native country, Greece.

The November 30th program features Nana Mouskouri, and an original member of The Irish Tenors, John McDermott, singing the songs of the Christmas season from around the world and their greatest hits. They will be accompanied by nine musicians. The program will feature Nana Mouskouri for 90 minutes and John McDermott for 30 minutes, plus a number of duets.
