Police said the unknown assailants had used 20 kilos of explosives planted in a suitcase at the entrance of the bank. Nearby cars and building suffered extensive damage from the explosion. Bomb experts were notified of the attack after an anonymous call was placed to a local police station and the Greek daily newspaper Eleftherotypia. News item: 22183 [02] Karamanlis: Second Wave of ReformsNewsPrime Minister addressed Monday the Federation of Greek Industries general assembly (SEB). The Premier repeated his commitment to undertake all necessary measures to tackle the crisis. Finance minister Mr. Giannis Papathanasiou also repeated the government's commitment to speed up the government's reforms disputing the scenarios speaking per reintroducing real estate taxation. Mr. Papathanasiou underlined that the government is determined to proceed to structural changes to support development and pointed out the need for national co operation to tackle the crisis. Mr. Papathanasiou said that the enterprises'' tactic to ask for more financing and reforms is easy. However, he added, they avoid giving any further details triggering that way social tension. Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) president Dimitris Dasklopoulos criticized strongly the political system that does not as he said produce solutions for the tackling of Greece's structural problems. Employment minister Mrs. Fani Palli Petralia addressing SEV general assembly, noted that recovery will not be achieved by transferring the crisis' effects to working people but can be achieved by protecting and boosting the sector of employment.
