According to official evidence, car accident victims rose compared with last year. Main causes are violation of priority, distraction of attention and frequent use of mobile phones. Most car accidents occur on Wednesday and not during the weekend as most of us would think while most dangerous hours are after 5 in the afternoon until 21:00. The Federation of Representatives of Car Imports (SEAA) as well as the Pan Hellenic Union of Land Commercial Transports (PSHEM) stressed that road commercial transports constitute 7% of GNP. Technical chamber of Greece asks for the set up of a General Secretary of Road Safety. As it was stressed out today in a press conference, the Observatory of Road Safety expresses its deepest concern on the dangerous increase of road accidents in Greece.

As she states in her announcement, the journalist received a series of attacks during the last months because she worked as a journalist. I remind everyone who pretends that does not know, that I work as a journalist since 1988 and I work in different TV channels after I completed my journalistic studies 20 and more years ago. During that time and during the last five years that my husband is a governmental minister, members of all political parties among whom the leader of the opposition party allowed me to take interviews from them. I consider the attacks launched against me hypocritical and unfounded. However, premising my personal and family peace I decided to suspend my professional status and activity in journalism. I express my sorrow for all those who showed me with their stances that hypocrisy often overflows.
