Two Bosnian police officers and one civil protection worker were killed in a landmine blast in eastern Bosnia on Saturday, the third such accident this week in an area still strewn with mines from the 1990s, Fena news agency reported. The accident happened in Masici village as police were called to mark and secure the ground before the arrival of mine clearers, it said. "The three men died when a landmine went off," local police told the news agency. Almost 4 percent of the Balkan country remains planted with landmines left over from the 1992-95 war, endangering the lives of 900,000 people, said Prime Minister Nikola Spiric, launching a new anti-mine campaign this week.

The Catholic Easter has started. It is a day of celebration as it represents the fulfillment of Catholic Christians faith. Many Christians traveled to pray in the place where Jesus was buried and then rose. Yesterday, Holly Friday, in spite of the rain and the strong winds many Christians attended the revival of Jesus path to Calvary. In Brazil, Christians revived Jesus martyred course to death. In Cuba, believers crossed Havana streets. The relations of the Roman Catholic Church with the government of Cuba have been improved since 1998 when Pope John Paul II visited Havana. In order for that visit to take place, the government had to issue a necessary license.
