    Greek foreign Minister, George Papandreou, current President of the E.U Foreign Ministers Council meets with the General secretary of the Arab League, Amr Mousa to discuss developments in the U.S led campaign against Iraq.

    [03] Course of economies depend on the length of military operations

    In an interview with state television channel NET, Greek Finance Minister, Nikos Hristodoulakis said the impact of the war on international and Greek economies depends on the length of military operations, clarifying that the government will only take measures to face problems that might arise. He added that stock markets relatively calm response to developments would not push oil prices and inflation up.

    [04] Collection of food and medicine for Iraq

    The Municipality of Athens and non-govermental organisations begin the collection of food and medicine at the Syntagma square today .

    In the meantime anti war demonstrations are being organised for the next days. Anti war demonstrations were staged at the Souda air base and the NATO headquarters in Tyrnavo yesterday

    [05] Turkish national to appear before a magistrate today

    Twenty year old ,Turkish national, identified as Ozgur Gencaslan , will appear before a magistrate to make his statement today . Gencaslan, claiming he had explosives strapped in his body, had forced a Turkish Airways passenger plane with 194 passengers and 9 crew to land in Athens. The plane was on a domestic flight from Konsatantinopolis to Ancara . The Turkish government has requested his extradition .
