  • [01] The Unseen Museum presents the 7,000 year-old enigma

A 7,000 year-old enigma from the hidden world of the National Archaeological Museum's storerooms is presented by the Unseen Museum

The mystery refers to a unique in size sculpture of the late Neolithic era that depicts in a strange way the human form. The 7,000-year-old enigma emerged from the storerooms on Monday and will be in display at the Altar's Hall until Sunday 26 March.

The Unseen Museum promotes selected antiquities from the unknown world of the National Archaeological Museum storerooms. They emerge for a limited period from their secure state of obscurity into the light, inviting the fans of rare memorable moments to capture their stories and narratives. Every two months an artefact is presented to public for the first time and reveals its unknown story. The 7,000 year-old enigma is the 12th artefact presented by the Unseen Museum.

[02] Gov't at the final stage of the negotiation for the second review, says Alt. Economy Min Charitsis

Alternate Economy Minister Alexis Charitisis on Tuesday expressed his certainty that the government is at the final stage before the conclusion of the negotiation for the second review.

Charitsis, who is paying a visit to the city of Ioannina, said that there is no Grexit issue. "On our part there is no such matter. We are working hard for the implementation of the programme agreed. We follow those agreed in order to be able to smoothly complete the programme in 2018," he said adding that this will be the last programme.

[03] Border post at Evzoni blocked by protesting farmers

The border post at Evzoni (Greek-Fyrom borders) remains closed from 16:30 on Monday. Protesting farmers have blocked Idomeni interchange, 200 meters away from the borders with Fyrom.

"If police does not prevent the additional forces that we expect to arrive, we will open one direction of Thessaloniki-Evzoni motorway as an act of goodwill," said the president of the Paonia farmers union Thomas Karypidis to Athens-Macedonian News Agency.
