of Istanbul victims
Athens City Hall was lit in the colours of the Turkish flag on Monday
evening in memory of the victims of the terror attack in Istanbul on
Sunday and in support of the Turkish people, as the mayor of Athens
explained in a tweet earlier in the day.
Forty four people were killed and about 150 wounded in a twin bomb attack
outside an Istanbul soccer stadium.
[03] Bomb threat in POSPERT offices was a prank says police; road reopens
Mesogion Avenue reopened to traffic by police on Monday evening after
a call by an unknown man warning of a bomb in the offices of public
broadcaster ERT's staff union POSPERT turned out to be a prank.
Police had closed off both traffic lanes earlier in the day while bomb
disposal specialists searched POSPERT premises for the bomb which was
due to go off at 17:20.
