[01] Washington Group meeting in Berlin is not extraordinary; will
discuss Eurozone matters-source
A meeting of the so-called Washington Group in Berlin on Friday is not
extraordinary and will discuss economic issues affecting the Eurozone,
and therefore Greece's debt, a finance ministry source said on Tuesday
evening, responding to a report in Germany's Sueddeutsche Zeitung.
The same source said the Washington Group has been active for a long
time and includes finance ministers from the Eurozone's biggest countries
(Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands) and the institutions.
According to the report, Eurozone's finance ministers and officials
from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the European Central bank
(ECB) will meet to discuss Greek debt.
[02] Labour minister: Tackling undeclared work is one of the ministry's
main aims
Tackling undeclared work is one the labour ministry's main aims, Labour
Minister Efi Achtsioglou said on Tuesday during a visit at the offices
of the Hellenic Labour Inspectorate.
"The work of the Inspectorate's people must be supported in
substance. Tackling undeclared work and lawlessness in the labour market
is one of the ministry's key objectives and the government's as a whole,"
she said.
