  • [01] IMF positions are difficult to find grounds in the EU social model, Labour Min Katrougalos says

Neither the tax issue nor the social security issue can open again because they were part of the first programme review," Labour Minister Giorgos Katrougalos on Thursday said in an interview with Praktorio 104.9 FM.

"The fact that these two issues closed in a way that does not satisfy the IMF is a clear indication that they closed in the best possible way for the Greek people," Katrougalos said and added: "The IMF's positions are difficult to find grounds in the European social model. We are not willing to agree with any agreement that does not protect the rights of the employees and the pensioners."

[02] No Greeks so far among the injured people in Italy

ROME (ANA-MPA/T. Andreadis-Syngelakis) - "Until now it does not appear to be Greek citizens among the injured people of Wednesday's earthquake in Italy," the Greek embassy in Italy posted on Facebook.

The embassy also informed that Greeks in affected areas that need to travel can do so with a simple statement from the police authorities of their region.
