ITV CP
The Council of State (CoS) plenum, Greece's supreme administrative court,
on Tuesday threw out three petitions for injunctions filed in connection
with a television content licence tender procedure. The injunctions had
been filed by the television stations Alpha, Star and Cyprus-based ITV
CP against each other.
The decision was reached in a session with CoS President Nikolaos
Sakellariou presiding and the reasoning behind the decision will be
published over the coming days.
[02] Parliament approves transfer of state's 5 pct stake in OTE to
privatisation agency
Parliament approved an amendment which transfers five percent of the
State's share in telecom company OTE to the country's privatization
agency, a prior action required for the disbursement of the final
sub-tranche of Greece's loan.
The amendment was included in a draft bill on the Greek Institution of
Research and Innovation. The Greek state will retain a remaining one
percent stake. OTE is 40 percent owned and managed by Deutsche Telekom.
