[01] President Pavlopoulos says country 'proud' of Paralympic athletes
President Prokopis Pavlopoulos said the country is proud of its
Paralympic team that will represent Greece in Rio, during a ceremony
to meet the athletes at the Presidential mansion on Tuesday.
"Everyone's wishes for great successes will accompany you to Rio and we're
certain that you will succeed because of your ethos," Pavlopoulos told
them. "Apart from our wishes, you have already won everyone's recognition
with your achievements and your emblematic way of life. Good luck. We
are and will be proud of you," he added.
[02] Top-level meeting held on Wednesday for handover of Niarchos'
Cultural Center to the state
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will preside over a meeting of the Special
Advisory Committee for the transfer of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation
Cultural Center to the state, at his office, on Wednesday.
The president of the Foundation's BoD, Andreas Dracopoulos, will also
participate in the meeting, scheduled for 12:30. The two sides will
discuss the completion of the construction and its donation to the state.
