[01] UNHCR chief on 3-day visit to Athens as of Tuesday
The UN high commissioner for refugees, Filippo Grandi, will start a
three-day visit to Athens on Tuesday to assess the humanitarian needs
of the refugees and migrants hosted in Greece and find ways to help
the country tackle the issue.
Grandi will meet with President Prokopis Pavlopoulos, Prime Minister
Alexis Tsipras, and members of the cabinet. He will also visit refugee
centers in Attica and central Macedonia to meet with asylum seekers and
representatives of local authorities, civil society and other partners
involved in managing the refugee flows.
