Bank of Greece governor Yannis Stournaras will submit the central bank's interim report on monetary policy to Parliament on Friday.

The governor is expected to call for consensus so that the reforms included in the new financing programme will be implemented as soon as possible.

According to the central bank's estimates, the economy will remain in recession in the first half of the year; however, a gradual recovery under conditions is feasible.

The decision on the IMF participation to the new Greek programme will not be taken in January, IMF official Andrea Adriano late on Thursday said to ANA-MPA.

He cleared out that the issue will start to be examined in January, but the decision "will not be taken soon."

Adriano also referred to the IMF spokesman Gerry Rice's statement earlier in the day that the fund will participate in the assessment along with the European institutions. "

[03] Greece-Fyrom buffer zone currently open

Greece-Fyrom buffer zone is currently open for refugees from Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria at Idomeni.

Earlier, there was tension from migrants not allowed to cross the border line and enter Fyrom.

Approximately 1,100 persons have crossed the border from Thursday night until Friday morning, said police on Friday.

However, authorities have stopped 25 buses with refugees and migrants at Polykastro because the camp next to the buffer zone is packed with persons waiting to cross the borderline.

[04] It is imperative to combat terrorism, Dep. Foreign Minister Amanatidis says

BELGRADE (ANA-MPA/M. Pelpas)- Deputy Foreign Minister Yiannis Amanatidis stressed the need to intensify efforts to combat terrorism and revive the dialogue on tackling the crisis.

Amanatidis was addressing the 22nd Ministerial Meeting of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) taking place in Belgrade.

"In the wake of the recent deadly terrorist attacks in Paris, it is imperative to intensify our joint efforts to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations based on a comprehensive approach and a coordinated manner," he said.
