[01] ECB reduces borrowing ceiling for Greek banks
European Central Bank on Thursday reduced the borrowing ceiling for
Greek banks through the Emergency Liquidity Assistance mechanism (ELA)
by 300 million euros to 85.7 billion euros, approving a request submitted
by the Bank of Greece
This development reflects improving liquidity conditions among Greek
banks as deposits seemed to stabilize and uncertainty easing further.
