About 6,000 policemen will be deployed around the Greek capital as
part of the police force's stringent security measures that have been
announced ahead of the anniversary of the 1973 Polytechnic uprising
on Tuesday
The city has beefed up security around embassies, public buildings and
organizations that are potential targets, following the terrorist attacks
in Paris.
The anniversary will conclude with the annual march towards the American
embassy.
