[01] Eurogroup chief: Eurogroup meeting not expected to be brief
The meeting is not expected to end quickly, warned Eurogroup president
Jeroen Dijsselbloem upon his arrival to the Eurogroup meeting in
Brussels.
Dijsselbloem noted that during the debate for Greece's new memorandum
is expected to be sharp criticism while a series of questions and
clarifications need answers, for example the banks' recapitalisation,
the debt issue and the privatisation fund "I hope that we will have a
positive result late in the evening" he added.
Finally, he said that the discussion for the debt restructuring will
be held in October, because as he said, it is a very important matter
for the International Monetary Fund and the Fund's participation in the
programme is very important for all.
[02] Sapin: Third support package to Greece is an act of solidarity
ANA/MPA---We are here today to decide on the implementation of the third
support package to Greece" stated French Finance Minister Michel Sapin
upon his arrival on Friday to the Eurogroup meeting.
Sapin underlined that a very important work and preparation from the
Greek government and the representatives of the institutions has been
done adding that the decision for the third support programme will be
an act of solidarity before that responsibility the Greek government
showed in the last weeks "We will examine further details, if needed".
Moreover, the French minister said that the discussion for the
restructuring of the Greek debt will be held in October because, as he
said, is considered necessary in order the Greek economy to breathe.
