[01] New Eurogroup on Wednesday
An emergency Eurogroup meeting will be held on Greece on Wednesday
evening, European Council president Donald Tusk said after the summit
meeting of eurozone leaders in Brussels on Monday night.
"All parties are determined to find a solution. The new Greek proposals
are a step forward," Tusk said at the press conference and added that
much work should be done in the next hours.
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and the institutions "will work together
now so that the Eurogroup can achieve results on Wednesday evening that
can be presented Thursday morning" he added.
On his part, European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker expressed
certainty over a solution in the next days.
[02] ECB raises ELA for Greek banks on Tuesday
The European Central Bank (ECB) on Tuesday raised the ceiling of
emergency liquidity assistance (ELA) provided to Greek banks.
The exact amount of the increase has not been made known yet.
