[01] Varoufakis to Green MEPs: 'Our aim is a comprehensive agreement'
ANA-MPA -- The Greek government's aim in the negotiation is a
comprehensive agreement that is economically and socially viable, Greek
Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis said in a meeting with a delegation
from the European Parliament's Green group, led Philippe Lamberts.
The meeting was also attended by Greece's Alternate Minister for the
Environment Yiannis Tsironis. A finance ministry announcement said that
the delegation expressed understanding and support for the Greek position
for tackling the debt on terms of sustainability and growth, with a major
investment programme, as the best response for dealing with the crisis.
