    Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will participate in St. Petersburg Economic Forum to be held in the last half of June, confirmed Greek parliament president Zoi Konstantopoulou to Russian News Agency TASS.

    "The prime minister informed me that we will be in St. Petersburg from 18-20 June" stated Konstantopoulou to TASS.

    The Russian news agency said that the invitation was conveyed by the Russian president during Tsipras' visit to Moscow on April 7 during their meeting at the Kremlin.

    Tsipras is expected to be one of the honoured political leaders of the Forum. The Forum is held annually under the auspices of the Russian presidency in President Putin's home city.

    The two leaders will have a meeting in private.

    [02] UN Special Rapporteur Mutuma Ruteere's interview to ANA-MPA

    ANA/MPA---A great supporter of the human rights, UN Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination and xenophobia Mutuma Ruteere was in Greece last week to evaluate the country's condition on issues of racism and discrimination.

    The independent UN envoy from Kenya is well aware of the human rights matters because he is also director of the Human Rights Center in Nairobi.

    Moreover, he has taught in universities of Kenya, South Africa, Sweden and USA and has also served as adviser of non-governmental organisations and private organisation involved with human rights.

    In his first official visit to Greece, Ruteere met with members of the government, representatives of the society of the citizens and members of the legislative and judicial authorities while he made on the spot visits to the migrants reception center in Amygdaleza and to the Roma camp in Spata.

    In his interview to ANA-MPA, Ruteere refers to the Greek government's steps of progress on racism issues and points out the issues that need to be improved emphasising on the establishment of an overall strategy against racism and xenophobia. He also refers to the 'keys' for the creation of an intercultural society free from intolerance adding "It is our responsibility to make a better world".

    Ruteere will present his final report on Greece at UN Human Rights Council in 2016.
