[01] We are closer to a bridge agreement, PM Tsipras says
"We pointed out the substantial progress recently achieved in the
negotiations to the Brussels Group as well as the fact that a large
part of the distance has been covered," Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras
said referring to the meetings with German Chancellor Angela Merkel,
French President Francois Hollande and the European Commission president
Jean-Claude Juncker in Brussels, on the sidelines of Thursday's EU
summit on migration.
According to the prime minister, "we are closer to a bridge agreement
... I am very optimistic."
Referring to the migration issue, Tsipras said that this is one of the
most important issues that Europe has to address in the next years,
stressing the need for a comprehensive agreement that will respect human
rights and the security of the European citizens.
