  • [01] FM Kotzias to meet John Kerry on Monday

    ANA/MPA---Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias will begin his meetings in Washington, D.C., with his meeting at the State Department, at 13:45 (local time), on Monday, with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, according to a Foreign ministry's announcement.

    Following the meeting, Kotzias will brief Greek correspondents.

    At 17:00, Kotzias will meet at the Greek Embassy in Washington, D.C., with representatives of the Jewish American organizations AIPAC and B'nai B'rith.

    [02] Migration issue to dominate PM Tsipras, Alternate Civil Protection Min Panousis' meeting

    ANA/MPA---The EU Council of Interior and Foreign Ministers will urgently convene in the next few days in the aftermath of the recent shipwreck off the Libyan coast, during which more than 700 people are estimated to have lost their lives.

    In Athens, the latest tragic event and generally the Greek policy on the problem of undocumented migration will be discussed during the visit of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras in the Civil Protection ministry on Monday.

    The Greek government, according to sources, is working on its own roadmap, which will be discussed with its partners, while Italy, Spain, Cyprus and Malta share the same concerns.

    [03] Talks with Brussels Group to resume on Monday

    ANA/MPA---The talks between a Greek team of economic experts and the Brussels Group were concluded late on Sunday.

    According to sources, Sunday's negotiations focused mainly on labour issues. The discussions are expected to resume on Monday, at 10 am.
