[01] Tsipras-We will not accept any agreement binding for the next governmentMain opposition SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras, in his address on Saturday evening to a meeting of the secretaries of the regional party committees and the party's Organising Bureau, proposed the adoption of a code of conduct for those who wish to run as candidate SYRIZA deputies. He reiterated that crucial political developments are imminent and emphasized on the issue of ballot tickets and the policy of alliances noting that "we will set up a new majority block of political and social forces on a reliable base, in programmatic terms, honestly and openly, not under the table." He said that SYRIZA should study the code of conduct for deputies compiled by the (Spanish party) Podemos and set terms and rules for those who wish to be candidates in our ballot tickets or participate in the state apparatus if we get elected as a government. This way we will create rules and new conditions of trust and credibility. Referring to the political developments, he said the troika had two targets: first, they are trying to close up as many issues as possible so that there is more room for concessions in the next phase. Second, they are setting the negotiation ground for the next government, seeking to push and create conditions of consensus to their policy. We categorically state, Tsipras said, that "we will not accept any agreement there may be by this parliament with this government that will be binding for the next one" and accused the government of pretending to be negotiating. The Prime Minister, he said, wants to implicate the negotiation in the package of political developments in Greece in relation to the presidential election. He also said that the only thing that the Government Vice-President Evangelos Venizelos and the Prime Minister Antonis Samaras are concerned about is their own personal political future and political survival.
