[01] PM Samaras held meeting with top London legal team
ANA-MPA -- Prime Minister Antonis Samaras' meeting with distinguished
British barristers Amal Alamuddin-Clooney (3rd left), Geoffrey Robertson
QC (3rd right) and Norman Palmer QC (far left), as well as the president
of the International Association for the Reunification of the Parthenon
Marbles David Hill (far right) was completed earlier on Wednesday. The
three barristers from the London-based legal firm Doughty Street Chambers
came to Greece to discuss the possibility of mounting a legal case for
the return of the Parthenon Marbles to Greece.
The Greek premier welcomed the valuable support given to Greece in its
efforts for the return of the famous sculptures, which form part of the
frieze that originally decorated the Parthenon on the Athens Acropolis.
The visiting legal team was also given a tour of the new Acropolis Museum.
