[01] SYRIZA's Papadimoulis elected European Parliament vice president

Dimitris Papadimoulis was elected the European Parliament's 13th vice
president in the third round of the election process.
The European Parliament's 14 vice presidents were elected in three rounds.
Papadimoulis said after his election that he thanked all those who
honoured him with their trust and that "it is a considerable distinction
for SYRIZA and the country. I will work with all my strength to meet
this trust".
On Tuesday the European Parliament held its first plenary session
after the May elections, in Strasbourg; Martin Schulz was re-elected
its president.
