[01] SYRIZA's Central Committee adopts party leader Alexis Tsipras' strategyANA/MPA---SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras on Sunday addressed the main opposition party's Central Committee raising two dilemmas and calling on its members to decide whether they will let the government get worn out or try to cause early polls by preventing the election of a new Greek President.Earlier in the day, SYRIZA's Central Committee concluded its deliberations and approved by majority the draft policy plan, which was in the line of Tsipras' strategy. Tsipras said that SYRIZA's political planning should be determined within weeks or even days, as unexpected developments may occur anytime. The party has two strategic options before it, Tsipras said. The one is to let the government get worn out, which could take until 2016 and have a catastrophic impact on the country. The second one is to try and cause early elections within 2014, an option that was supported by Tsipras himself. On the President's elections and SYRIZA's tactics, Tsipras said this was not a technical issue but mainly a political one. He added that preventing the election of the President is an important decision that cannot be done on a central and institutional level but based on political and other initiatives. In this context, SYRIZA will take initiatives according to its policy commitments, he said citing as an example the gathering of signatures on the submarines issue. [02] Call of tender for free Wi-FiANA/MPA--The government on Thursday published the call of tender for the "National Network of of Wireless Internet Access WiFi Hotspots" on the "Diavgeia" website.The budget of the programme, which is 25 million euros compared to 15 million euros originally planned, will be financed by the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF). Upon the implementation of the project, all citizens will have free access to the internet at 4,000 oudoor and indoor public sites throughout the country, such as squares, walkways, playgrounds, public libraries, museums etc. Citizens will be able to connect for a period of 30 minutes, provided they are within 20 and 100 metres from the indoor and outdoor access points respectively. Each point will be able to serve about 40 to 50 users simultaneously. [03] Meeting on small PPC at Maximos mansionANA/MPA---A meeting on the 'small PPC' issue is expected to take place on Monday at the Maximos mansion (government's headquarters), according to a decision taken at a meeting chaired by PASOK leader Evangelos Venizelos with the participation of Environment, Energy and Climate Change Yiannis Maniatis, alternate Agriculture Minister Paris Koukoulopoulos, Environment Ministry general secretary Constantinos Mathioudakis, PPC president Arthouros Zervos and PASOK's members Christos Protopappas, Dimitris Karydis and Panagiotis Rigas.[04] Greek film "Mikra Anglia" awarded at Shanghai Film FestivalANA/MPA---The film "Mikra Anglia" directed by Pantelis Voulgaris was awarded at the international film festival of Shanghai.The Greek film received the Golden Goblet for best film, direction and best actress for Pinelopi Tsilika. The 17th Shanghai festival was held on June 14-22 and 15 films participated in the official competition section. Chinese actress Gong Li chaired the jury comprised by British director Sally Potter, South Korean director Im Sang Soo, Danish director Lone Scherfig, Chinese actor Liu Ye, Japanese director Shunji Iwai and Iranian actor Peyman Moaadi. The Chinese film "The Uncle Victory" directed by Zang Meng took the second award for best film. Mikra Anglia was filmed on Andros island and is based on the book "Mikra Anglia" by Ioanna Karystiani who is responsible for the screenplay adaptation. [05] Greece is the top tourist destination for Austrians this summerANA/MPA---Greece is the most popular tourist destination among Austrians this summer, Austrian paper Der Standard wrote in its weekend edition, citing data by domestic travel groups.According to the biggest Austrian travel agency Verkehrsburo, Greece ranks first (15 percent) among the top destinations for Austrians this summer, followed by Turkey (12.7 percent), Spain (12.1 percent), Italy (7.9 percent), the United States (5.9 percent) and Croatia (3.4 percent). Regarding bookings, Greece has recorded a double digit rise of 12.3 percent, with Croatia coming in second with a 2.4 percent increase. More than 400,000 Austrians on average visit Greece every year.
