of democracy
ANA/MPA---President of Republic Karolos Papoulias voted on Sunday at
12.30 pm in the northwestern Greek city of Ioannina.
After casting his vote he made the following statement: Today is a very
important day. Local administration elections are the vital lifeblood of
democracy. We have a historic tradition in our country. Always the local
officials played a very important role in Greece's difficult times. I
hope today, with the people vote, to be elected those who want to offer
to this country".
[02] Tsipras: Today the people will take the first important step
ANA/MPA---Main opposition SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras after casting
his vote on Sunday for the local administration elections in the Athens
district of Kypseli made the following statement. Tsipras expressed his
certainty that today the people "will take the first but important step
in order the cities and the regions to change authority. An important
step in order Greece to turn page'.
