[01] Powerful explosion outside the Bank of Greece
ANA/MPA---A strong explosion was reported at 5:55 on Thursday outside
the Bank of Greece in Athens.
An unknown individual called at 5.10 the website "Zougla" and at 5.15
at Efimerida ton Syntakton newspaper and said that "a booby-trapped car
with 75 kilos of explosives will explode in 45 minutes outside the Bank
of Greece".
Police cordonned off the area and spotted a stolen NISSAN SUNNY parked
outside the bank which blew up at 5.55. Damages to nearby buildings and
stores were reported.
Counterterrorism squad is currently at the area conducting an
investigation.
