    Investigating magistrates and prosecutor agreed that Golden Dawn (Chryssi Avghi) MP Stathis Boukouras should be held in custody

    pending trial after the conclusion of his testimony on Sunday.

    Giorgos Germenis and Panagiotis Iliopoulos were also remanded in custody on Saturday.

    Boukouras, Iliopoulos and Germenis are facing charges of participating into a criminal organisation and will be jailed at Korydallos prison.

    The three deputies had requested and received an extension to testify after the Greek parliament decided to lift their parliamentary immunity.

    Golden Dawn leader Nikos Mihaloliakos and MPs Christos Pappas and Giannis Lagos are also held in custody at Korydallos prison.

    Decision to jail Golden Dawn MP before trial is 'tough', his lawyer says

    The investigating magistrates' decision to hold in custody Golden Dawn MP Stathis Boukouras pending trial is "tough", according to his lawyer Alexis Kougias on Sunday.

    "I have never seen politics through justice," Kougias said. "I hope this is not the case because that would threaten democracy. When justice collapses, everything collapses," he added.

    [02] Defence Minister Avramopoulos to represent gov't and the presidency of the EU Council at Ariel Sharon's funeral on Monday

    Defence Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos will represent the government, Prime Minister Antonis Samaras and the presidency of the EU Council at the funeral of former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to be held on Monday in Jerusalem.

    [03] Time limit for former minister Papakonstantinou's offences has not expired

    The five-member judicial council of the special court decided, according to ANA-MPA sources, on Sunday that the time limit for former Finance Minister Giorgos Papakonstantinou's offences related to Lagarde list (two felonies and one misdemeanor) has not expired and an investigation will start.

    Papakonstantinou faces charges of infidelity in service and falsification of document as well as breach of duty.
