[01] SYRIZA to table law proposal on abolition of civil mobilisation
ANA-MPA/ A law proposal on the abolition of the "despicable instituition
of the civil mobilisation" will be tabled on Friday by SYRIZA, according
to its leader Alexis Tsipras who told Parliament.
"In this proposal, all will be called to undertake their responsibilities,
including PASOK and of the Democratic Left (DIM.AR) parties," Tsipras
said, referring to the junior members of the ruling coalition. Referring
to past mobilisations in shipping and trains, Tsipras said, "Enough with
the violence and the terrorism against the society and the labourers. This
is the third civil mobilisation, but it will be the last, whether they
vote it in parliament or not."
The main opposition leader warned the government that from now on his
party will defend workers in the private and public sector by all possible
means in its power and that the next strike will be a political one.
