[01] Glider arrested for flying over Trikala jail
AMNA -- A 52-year-old man was arrested in Larisa late Thursday for
flying over the Trikala jail with a motorised glider.
The man was observed by the Trikala police flying approximately 450 metres
over the jail, from which eleven inmates escaped on March 22, without
having submitted a flight plan with the Civil Airforce Service (YPA).
When his flight concluded and he returned to Larisa, he was notified to
present himself at the Larisa police station, which he did voluntarily. He
was then arrested and will be led before the misdemeanours court
prosecutor in Trikala, while the Trikala police is also conducting an
investigation.
