    AMNA/ A critical Eurogroup meeting on a Cyprus bailout begins Sunday night in Brussels.

    Ahead of the meeting, Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades held a round of meetings with European Council president Herman van Rompuy, European Commission president Jose Manuel Barroso, Eurogroup president Jeroen Dijsselbloem, International Monetary Fund (IMF) managing director Christine Lagarde, European Central Bank (ECB) president Mario Draghi and European Stability Mechanism (ESM) managing director Klaus Regling.

    [02] Student parade marks Independence Day anniversary

    AMNA/ The traditional students' parade marking the 192nd anniversary of the March 25, 1821 revolution against Ottoman rule was held in central Athens on Sunday, while the main military parade will take place on Monday, the day of the anniversary.

    Deputy Education Minister Theodoros Papatheodorou inspected the students' parade, which was held under stringent security measures.

    The city center, at Syntagma Square and the surrounding streets, was closed to traffic.

    Before the parade, the traditional wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Syntagma Square, outside the parliament building, took place.

    The city center will be closed to traffic again on Monday, as of 6:00 a.m., for the military parade, taking in Syntagma, Omonoia and Karaiskaki Squares and their side streets.
