[01] Greek exports up 19 pct
AMNA--Greece's trade balance showed a deficit of 19 billion euros in
the January-November period, Eurostat said on Friday. The EU executive's
statistics arm in a report published here, said that Greek exports grew
by 19 pct in the 11-month period to 24.5 billion euros, while imports
rose 7.0 pct to 43.5 billion euros over the same period.
Germany (174.6 billion euros) recorded the biggest trade surplus in the
January-November period, followed by Holland (46 billion) and Ireland
(39.9 billion euros), while the UK (152.9 billion euros) recorded the
biggest trade deficit, followed by France (75.2 billion), Spain (30
billion) and Greece (19 billion euros).
