AMNA -- Cretan products could easily will a place in the markets of
the Middle East, as they are of an excellent quality and enjoy an
international name. This message was conveyed by top officials from
major supermarket chains from Kuwait and Lebanon, in the sidelines of
a series of meetings held at the Chania Chamber with local business
representatives.
"The products we saw," the foreign entrepreneurs said, "are excellent
beyond our expectations and we are confident, as we had a first taste,
that there will be certain agreements in our countries with Cretan
exporters."amna
Meetings in Chania followed a similar series of meetings in Iraklio
held recently within the framework of the Prefecture of Crete's targeted
promotion of local products to foreign markets.amna Products presented
to interested foreign importers include olive oil, olives, rusks, honey,
cheese and marmalades.
