[01] SYRIZA ready to assume country's governanceAMNA--Greece's return to a recovery orbit requires first the cancellation of the 'recession programme' and a generous reduction of the state debt as a percentage of GDP, main opposition SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras told the 23rd congress of the Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce on Monday, adding that whoever doesn't see this was simply turning a blind eye, and stated his party's readiness to assume "the historic responsibility of the governance of the country"."Today, the Left is open to ideas, to the new, to seeking, whereas dogmas have crossed over to the other side, our political opponents are moving within the dogma of neo-liberalism," Tsipras said.amna He blasted the three parties of the coalition government, accusing them of "having the Memorandum as their only political plan for the country", adding that "the government has become fully incorporated and subjugated to the electoral campaign needs and long-term plan of (German chancellor Angela) Mrs Merkel on the Greek prospect", which he outlined as a conversion of Greece into a special economic zone, noting a relevant interview by the chairman of the German industrialists' federation.amna Tsipras said that SYRIZA has a political plan that will replace the Memorandum, on the basis of which "we will re-negotiate the loan agreement" with Greece's partners, and stressed that "we are ready to implement the major, progressive structural reforms that the country needs to exit permanently from the quagmire of the crisis that is constantly being recycled".
