  • [01] SYRIZA will not compromise and will betray no one

AMNA--Coalition of the Radical Left (SYRIZA) leader Alexis Tsipras on Thursday launched an address to his party's Parliamentary group and secretariat by attacking New Democracy leader Antonis Samaras, who he said was "leading a rearguard action for the old political order".

He said ND's leader also proved that this old political order was fully unreliable and untrustworthy, since Samaras had forgotten both his own vote in support of bailout agreements and policies and the letters that he had sent to both German Chancellor Angela Merkel and the head of the IMF Christine Lagarde in which he accepted the terms of the bailouts.amna

Tsipras claimed that ND's leader and "other centres of propaganda" were distorting SYRIZA's positions and fear-mongering, while he predicted that the electorate would "finally bring down the systems of corruption and intertwined interests" through their vote on June 17, finishing off what they had started on May 6.
