[01] Crew member of catamaran missing after falling into sea
AMNA--A crew member of the passenger catamaran ILION fell into the sea,
west of the Ionian island of Cephallonia under circumstances as yet
unknown. According to initial reports, a coast guard patrol boat was
informed by the ship's captain that the catamaran's second engineer
fell into the sea.
Coast guard vessels and helicopters have mounted a search and rescue
operation in the area to locate the missing man. amna
The catamaran, with the remaining five crew members (three Greek and
two foreign nationals), was led to Argostoli port on the island of
Cephallonia.
