    AMNA--At least four companies from the US, Norway and France, all global providers of geophysical services, have submitted applications to the environment, energy and climate change ministry to conduct seismic studies for hydrocarbons (oil and natural gas) in the Ionian sea and in the sea area south of the island of Crete.

    Reliable sources told AMNA that the companies that have already submitted relevant dossiers to the ministry include ION Geophysical (US), TGS-NOPEC (Norway), CGG Veritas (France) and Dolphin Geophysical (Norway), all of which specialise in seismic data acquisition, processing and interpretation, while in the past the Norwegian PGS had also expressed interest and company officials have visited the ministry.amna

    The deadline for the submission of interest expires at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

    [02] Tender for Expression of Interest in exploitation of ICB

    AMNA--An international tender for the exploitation for 90 years of the International Broadcasting Center (ICB), which was initially built for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games, was launched on Friday by the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF).

    HRADF on Friday issued an Invitation for the submission of expressions of interest for the acquisition of the usufruct on the exploitation right of the IBC building.

    The tender concerns the acquisition of the usufruct on the right of exclusive development, use, management and exploitation of the IBC building for 90 years.

    The 153,300 square meter property includes the Golden Hall shopping mall with 73,000 square meters of above-ground area and office space (4,500 square meters), 59,200 square meters in basement storage area and basement parking space (7,300 square meters), and 14,300 square meters in vacant above-ground area.amna

    In the first stage of the process, the candidate investors must submit an expression of interest by April 4 and provide documentation proving that they fulfill the financial and qualitative criteria contained in the Invitation.amna

    At the second stage, the prospective investors that are short-listed must submit a Binding Offer in accordance with the transparency rules and specifications of the European Union. amna

    The National Bank of Greece (NBG) is the financial consultant to the HRADF for the process.
