[01] DM speaks by phone with Turkish FM Davutoglu
AMNA / Defence Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos spoke by phone on Friday
with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
Davutoglu carried out a visit to the border post of Kastanies on Friday,
where he exchanged best wishes for the New Year with Greek officers and
soldiers manning the checkpoint, something Avramopoulos did in the same
region two weeks ago -- where he had exchanged best wishes and handed
out symbolic gifts to Turkish officers and soldiers on the land border

Meanwhile, an exchange of visits between Avramopoulos and his Turkish
counterpart Ismet Yilmaz in the coming period was reconfirmed.
