[01] PM chairs Cabinet meeting on Friday
����--Prime Minister Lucas Papademos will chair a cabinet meeting at
9:30 in the morning on Friday.
The meeting will approve the 2012 state budget, after which it will be
tabled in Parliament at noon.
Papademos will also meet with the chief of the country's central
bank, Bank of Greece (BoG) governor George Provopoulos, at 3:00 in
the afternoon.
Further, the new prime minister will be in Luxembourg on Tuesday for
talks with eurozone president Jean-Claude Juncker.
[02] Piraeus Port Authority reports spectacular 9-month results
AMNA--The Piraeus Port Authority on Thursday reported a spectacular
298-pct jump in its nine-month net profits to 5,554,138 euros, from
1,865,200 euros in the corresponding period last year).amna
The listed company said earnings per share soared to 0.2222 euros per
share in the January-September period, from 0.0746 in the same period
last year, while pre-tax profits jumped 353 pct to 9,807,668 euros.
