[01] Alpha, Eurobank confirm merger, stock swap
(ANA-MPA) -- The boards of Athens-based Alpha Bank and Eurobank on
Monday confirmed the two institutions' pending merger, with the stock
swap deal envisioning five Alpha Bank common shares for seven Eurobank
common shares, (ANA-MPA) according to initial reports.
A Qatari fund will participate in the new bank, to be called
Alpha-Eurobank, with 500,000 million euros.
