  • [01] ASE opening: Decline

    Equity prices were declining at the opening of trade on Thursday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index down 0.41 percent, standing at 1,422.231 points at 11:15 am, and turnover at 7.160 million euros.

    Individual sector indices were moving downwards with the biggest gains in Insurance, up 4.47 percent; and Technology, up 1.55 percent.

    The biggest losses were in Travel and Recreation, down 1.99 percent and Media, down 1.90 percent.

    The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was down 0.38 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was up 0.31 percent, and the FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was down 0.03 percent.

    Of the stocks traded, 27 were up, 35 were down, and 24 were unchanged.
